Date: July 16 - August 06, 2018
Description:
In recent years there has been a rapid expansion in what we know about well-being in the workplace. Many studies highlight that supporting workers in their physical and mental health is not just a nice thing to do, it also has widespread benefits for the organisation, including reduced absenteeism, increased staff engagement, better team climate and enhanced productivity.Employers, including those in the veterinary profession, have a duty of care to support their employees to be safe and well at work. The conversation about well-being, however, is one that should take place at all levels within a veterinary clinic. The most successful clinic well-being initiatives ensure that employees have a say in what specific areas need to be addressed.Practice leaders have an especially important role in facilitating discussion, role modelling behaviours, and driving positive change within the workplace. This course aims to support clinical veterinary workers, particularly those in a leadership role, in transforming the outlook on well-being in their workplace.Suitable for practice managers; nurse, reception and veterinary managers; practice partners and directors
