Dr. Lori Hess worked for months to create a veterinary hospital tailored specifically for exotic animals. Here's a peek at the result.

But Dr. Hess didn’t stop there. She initiated relationships with 60 pet stores and veterinarians in the area and sent press materials to more than 200 media outlets. “We also have a phenomenal Web site with a lot of information,” she says. “We have an online store with all the products we recommend, and we’re linked with a veterinary distributor, which allows us to ship the products directly to clients, saving inventory space in the practice.”
