Photo gallery: Construction photos-Veterinary Center for Birds and Exotics (part 2)

Dr. Lori Hess built her dream hospital and documented the process. Here's a look at the construction of her exotic hospital from start to finish.

Dr. Hess sat down at her kitchen table and began sketching a floor plan with colored pencils. She focused on traffic flow and staff needs, all the while keeping clients in mind. “We wanted to create a nice experience for the client,” she says. “We wanted things to be bright and airy.”
