Petriage and Crum & Forster join forces to help enhance pet health

February 1, 2022

This partnership will give Crum & Foster customers access to Petriage’s pet symptom tracker and Petriage Live.

Petriage, a pet health technology company that offers fully integrated telehealth services, has entered a first of its kind partnership with Crum & Foster, a pet insurance group.

Through this partnership, Crum & Foster members within certain programs will receive access to Petriage’s online symptom checker and its live 24/7 nurse helpline: Petriage Live. Crum & Foster members enrolled in the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance and Hartville Pet Insurance programs will have access to the Petriage benefits beginning in early 2022.

“For pet parents whose family veterinarians are partnered with Petriage, they will receive the added benefit of having their vet automatically notified of Petriage analysis recommendations,” Allon Freiman, cofounder and chief strategy officer at Petriage, noted in a joint organizational release.

Petriage uses artificial intelligence that is veterinarian validated to give pet parents an analysis of their pet's symptoms and a 97% accuracy of the urgency for the user to seek medical care for their pet. After an assessment from the online symptom tracker, users can then seek advice through Petriage Live, a program made up of a team of licensed veterinary technicians working to provide advice to pet owners.

“Our partnership with Petriage...enhances the value of our insurance to pet parents, supporting our mission to help pets enjoy longer and healthier lives.” Bob Capocianco, senior vice president of Crum & Foster, said in the release.
