PetDx names new president and chief executive officer

PetDx announced it has appointed Alejandro Bernal, DVM, MS, MBA, as its new president and chief executive officer. Bernal succeeds PetDx founder Daniel S. Grous, MD, MBA, who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board.

Bernal received his master of business administration and doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia, and a master of sciences from Texas A&M. According to the release, Bernal served as president for Mars Veterinary Health International and Global Diagnostics where he led the consolidation and operations of Mars-owned veterinary hospitals outside of North America, plus Antech’s network of veterinary reference labs. Before working for Mars, Bernal worked 17 years with Zoetis serving as a member of the executive team that worked in global leadership and strategy roles.
