The brace applies a human standard of care to the surgical and rehabilitative treatment of anterior cruciate injuries in dogs.A-TraC stands for Anti-Translational Cruciate brace. This patent-pending garment restricts excessive anterior translation of the tibia on the femur. Indications for the A-TraC Dynamic Brace include a rehabilitation program for partial tear anterior cruciate injuries to protect and rehabilitate anterior cruciate surgical repairs; an ongoing support for failed cruciate repairs; use in dogs where health or age issues contraindicate surgical repair; any condition where instability of the stifle joint exists i.e., quadriceps spasticity, the company says.
