North Central Veterinary Emergency Center revamps name to Emergency Veterinary Care Centers

August 23, 2022
dvm360 Staff

Name more in line with emergency animal hospital's variety of services and locations

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers is the new name for 3 Indiana-based veterinary emergency hospitals before known as North Central Veterinary Emergency Center. The company still has the same phone numbers and physical locations in Highland, Westville, and Mishawaka, Indiana.

"We are excited to announce our new name and are honored to continue serving pets from Indiana, greater Chicago, and Michigan," commented Deana Scheidt, director, business development for Emergency Veterinary Care Center, in a company release.1 "Our longstanding commitment to pets, up-to-date facilities and excellent reputation enable us to attract and retain a talented team of veterinary professionals who are passionate about providing personalized care to pets and compassionate service to their owners."

Care for dogs and cats from the newly named centers will remain 24-7 and open 365 days a year in Westville and Highland. Additionally, the Mishawaka location provides 24-hour care on weekends from 7:30 pm ET on Fridays through 8:00 am ET on Mondays. This location may offer additional hours in the future.

According to the release,1 Emergency Veterinary Care Centers are accredited through the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The teams at these hospitals work in tandem with each pet’s primary veterinarian to provide the best care.

"We are proud to continue to provide highly-skilled care to cats and dogs when they are most in need," said Lori Ross, DVM, of Emergency Veterinary Care Centers. "Recognizing the special place pets have in our homes and in our hearts, we offer family-oriented care delivered with compassion.”
