Birdsboro, Pa.
-- The American Museum of Veterinary Medicine, located in Birdsboro, Pa., since 1990, is moving to Grantville, Pa.
The move will be coordinated by Agrarian Country, a nonprofit organization seeking to preserve Pennsylvania’s farmland history and farm buildings.
The American Museum of Veterinary Medicine features historic books, tools and artifacts from veterinary medicine’s past. Part of the new museum will include relocating and restoring the Star Barn, a national historic landmark built in 1872 that features unique architecture. Agrarian Country plans to use the Star Barn as its Agricultural Education and Exhibition Center.
