The animal nonprofit’s competitive Veterinary Student Scholarship program is receiving research proposals.
Morris Animal Foundation is officially accepting research proposals for its Veterinary Student Scholarship (VSS) program.
According to an organization release, the VSS provides veterinary students the chance to participate in mentored research that will help advance the health and/or welfare of cats, dogs, horses, or wildlife. Along with the research opportunity, selected students will also receive a stipend of up to $5,000.
To be admitted into VSS, institutions must select students to participate in clinical or basic animal health research. Each institution is encouraged by Morris Animal Foundation to select and submit the strongest project based on scientific merit, animal health impact potential, and the chance the student must develop veterinary research skills. Proposals submitted must also follow Morris Animal Foundation’s guidelines and mission.
In addition, students must be attending a veterinary school recognized by their government that allows graduates to practice in that country in order to qualify.
As of January 11, 2022, Morris Animal Foundation is formally accepting proposals with a deadline of April 4, 2022, at 4:59 pm ET. Interested applicants can find additional information and guidelines here.
