E.I. Medical, a veterinary diagnostic ultrasound manufacturer, announces the launch of its latest unit, the Bantam. The Bantam is a mobile scanning unit that weighs 30 ounces. This ultrasound machine uses the latest in technology, including an on-board, laptop computer-style lithium battery pack, the company says. The unit will fit in a waist pack, similar to a fanny pack, which makes the ultrasound machine portable and easy to use, the company says.
