Dr. Miller's harsh criticism of socialized healthcare, as based on two personal events in England spanning the past 30 years, was narrow-minded and myopic. I'm a proud Canadian and, although it's not perfect, see the tremendous merits of our socialized healthcare system. It's true that if you're privileged enough to be able to afford comprehensive insurance in the United States you're, in all likelihood, in an excellent position. But with respect to the tens of millions of Americans who can't afford adequate insurance I think it's inappropriate to sing the merits of the current American system so loudly.
