Insinuating that "socializing" medicine has any relationship to the particular scenarios described is meaningless. A wise friend used to say that we already have universal healthcare—it's just a matter of how we've decided to distribute and pay for it. Finally, if you think about it, insurance is socialism. You pay roughly equal shares, but receive according to need.
