Christopher Lee, DVM, MPH, DACVPM, DACVM (Parasitology), discusses the clinical significance of Toxoplasma gondii, when veterinary professionals should consider testing, and how to communicate the risks of exposure to clients.
What principles that make our personal relationships work can also be implemented to improve our work relationships?
Personal relationships and work relationships are a lot more similar than we think, says Heather Romano, SHRM-CP, managing director of human resources and training for iVET360. She explains the concept of "agape love," which is more of a loving behavior rather than a loving feeling.
We treat each our family with kindness at all times and when they do something wrong, we respectfully ask them to change what they're doing, Romano says. Why don't we do that with our veterinary employees? When we treat our employees with agape love, they in turn treat their teammates and their clients with the same respect and kindness.
