Parents who expect their children to take care of the family pets often find out that the pets are being fed several times a day or are missing meals at the hands of children who are not yet capable of these responsibilities.

Parents who expect their children to take care of the family pets often find out that the pets are being fed several times a day or are missing meals at the hands of children who are not yet capable of these responsibilities. To help, I give pet owners with children a client education handout from a local humane society that explains what types of animal care children at various ages are capable of handling.
