We cut indentations into our shelving unit so we could hang our endoscopes on it. By hanging them, the endoscopes can finish drying, they don't collect dust and they stay uncurled. We drilled holes on either side of the book case at the top and bottom so air circulates more if any dampness is left. We added duct tape to protect the shelves from moisture and the endoscopes from excessive rubbing. Other equipment can still be placed on the shelves.
