Idea Exchange: A catheter guard for cantankerous cats

For an inexpensive catheter guard for cats, I take the cardboard tube center from a roll of Vetrap (3M) bandaging tape and cut it lengthwise so it can be slipped over the catheter site on the cat's forelimb. The tube is loose enough that it doesn't cut off circulation, but it keeps the cat from disturbing the site. And the tube is easy to remove when you need access. The cardboard can be covered with Vetrap to keep it from sliding up or down.
