Many human hospitals do not allow resterilization of certain products. So I ask local MDs whether they would be willing to donate any of their unused materials. Many are happy to give it away instead of throwing it away. They pass along ample amounts of free, unused suture material, skin staplers, drapes, gowns, gloves, suction tubing, self-adhesive support bandages, gauze, and even instruments.
