The campaign, which kicks off nationwide this spring, will reinforce the important role of the veterinarian, while motivating the pet owner to actively seek nutritional advice from their veterinarian and veterinary healthcare team.
Millions of pet owners will receive a mailing reminding them of the invaluableresource their veterinarians can be to their pet's health and quality oflife, along with a check redeemable only at veterinary hospitals that canbe used toward a Prescription Diet® or Science Diet® pet food product.Veterinarians need to simply deduct the amount of the check from the retailprice of the Prescription Diet or Science Diet product, then deposit thecheck along with their regular bank deposits no waiting, no coupons.
A checklist of "must ask" questions is included to help petowners initiate dialogue with the veterinarian. The checklist covers importanttopics such as weight management, oral health, kidney disease, diagnosticservices and behavioral changes.
