Heska Corp. makes available the Heska? CBC-CBC-Diff? Veterinary Hematology System.

Heska Corp. makes available the Heska® CBC-Diff™ Veterinary Hematology System. The system is designed to use advanced impedance technology to deliver accurate in-clinic systems, including those that use lasers.

A CBC test-often a first step when examining a sick patient-examines the red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets in a blood sample. The Heska CBC-Diff System also provides three-part differential results-a differential divides the white blood cells into subgroups such as lymphocytes, monocytes and segmented cells, the company says.

The Heska CBC-Diff System renders reliable three-part differential results complete with histograms and recommendations for dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, ferrets or mice, in under a minute, the company says. The system also features True20™ Sampling designed to allow accurate results using a 20 micro-liter minimum blood draw, which serves small animals without a large volume of blood.

The system's environmentally friendly reagents are cyanide free, making disposal easy and nearly eliminating possible environmental concerns, the company says.
