HONOLULU — Veterinarians may no longer have to report prescription information to the state in Hawaii if new legislation passes.

House Bill1856 would exempt veterinarians from the requirements of the electronic prescription accountability system, established in 1996. The bill was introduced Jan. 17 and referred to various committees for consideration.
