When it comes to cremations, Clear Creek Animal Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colo., believes in adding a personal touch. Team members place the sealed remains—encased in modest round tins from the contracted crematory—along with a certificate of cremation in a mylar bag. Practice manager Carolyn Knudsen then fastens the bags by stapling on a bow handmade from fabric purchased at a craft store. Clients often say how special this makes them feel, Knudsen says, and it only costs a few cents.
