Gas evacuation system

Article

WAUKESHA, WIS. — SurgiVet introduces Pure-Guard ? a passive gas evacuation system that traps gas emissions, protecting against anesthetic gasses.

WAUKESHA, WIS. — SurgiVet introduces Pure-Guard ™ a passive gas evacuation system that traps gas emissions, protecting against anesthetic gasses.

Pure-Guard includes an alarm system that sounds when it is time to change the canister, eliminating guesswork.

The patent-pending design reduces resistance and disperses airborne halogenated agents more effectively over charcoal, the company says.

The larger Enviro-Pure™canister contains 1/3 more charcoal than conventional canisters, so it lasts longer.

Agent concentration, flow rates, humidity and length of procedure affect the life of a charcoal canister. Pure-Guard provides a monitor to keep track of adsorption rate so you don't have to.

Waste anesthetic gas scavenging is endorsed by ASA and OSHA, the company adds.
