For Veterinarians, It's a 'Candidate's Job Market'

Stacy Pursell, BA, CPC, CERS, founder and CEO of The VET Recruiter, talks about the current job market for those seeking work in the veterinary field.

Due to the recovering economy, Pursell says there are a lot of opportunities for those looking for veterinary work. She calls the current market a candidate's job market — there is a lack of qualified veterinary candidates, making all candidates have more employment options.

Pursell says if the supply of qualified candidates does not keep up with the demand of jobs, this market can become even more of a candidate's job market, giving job seekers more opportunities and better compensation for those that have the skills the employers want.
