The optimal time to administer Settle is when risk for uterine infection is high.
Bioniche recommends using the product when a diagnosis of uterine infection has been made and while awaiting culture and sensitivity test results.
The product also may be administered in conjunction with local or systemic anti-biotic treatments, the company says.
Other uses include the day after foaling or at the first sign of estrus in known endometritis susceptible mares, at time of retained placenta removal and or at the first heat of mares with history of retained placenta, among others.
