San Diego

Our gamified CE program returns to Fetch dvm360® in San Diego, California

After the successful launch of dvm360®’s gamified continuing education program in Kansas City, Missouri, the hour-long game will again be held at 12:15 pm today, the first day of Fetch San Diego, in room 24ABC.

Sponsored by Hill’s Pet Nutrition, the program will feature dvm360®’s chief veterinary officer, Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, and Jolle Kirpensteijn, DVM, PhD, Hill’s global chief veterinary officer, as cohosts. The questions will be about dermatology and nutrition, and Natalie L. Marks, DVM, and Ashley Bourgeois, DVM, will act as judges and ensure all answers are correct; they will also expand a bit upon each answer and topic by providing micro-learning lectures.

“Gamified learning is truly the best. I can’t think of a better way to laugh, earn prizes, and learn than from the talented Drs Ashley Bourgeois and Natalie Marks. Having Dr Jolle Kirpensteijn as my cohost will ensure the audience is in for some good laughs!” Christman told dvm360®.

During the program, players will choose a category and the hosts will ask a representative for each team to stand up and answer.

The learning objectives of dvm360® Unleashed!™ include:

  1. Recognizing current dermatologic best practices and effective multimodal therapies to treat and control pruritis.
  2. Demonstrating an understanding of common nutritional principles and client questions about nutrition, particularly about how to integrate diet into dermatological treatment plans.
  3. Recognizing different organisms through images of cytologic evaluation.
  4. Learning about effective nutritional strategies for patients at different life stages with varying skin conditions.

Attendees will also be able to compete for a grand prize by answering a final trivia question. Lunch will be provided, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
