Don't get needled in veterinary practice
Use pet nail clippers for removing needles from syringes.

Pet nail clippers make a great tool for removing needles from syringes. Just grab the base of the needle in the cutting area, twist, and pull. The needle is removed with your hands and fingers safely out of the way. Then you can drop the tip into a hazardous materials bin without making contact.
