According to this data, they do. Last year, dental conditions ranked as the 10th most common claim for Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI). Pet owners submitted 17,000 claims for treatment of pets' periodontal disease. It seems pets may have been more comfortable and their owners may have saved more money with prevention over treatment.
