Differences Between Epoxy Paints and Epoxy Coatings

Jeff Adney, BA, president of PermaTek Coatings says there are several differences between epoxy paints and epoxy coatings.

Epoxy paint is thin, has a smell and won’t have the durability of an epoxy coating. When you’re looking at protecting walls from constant washing, dog scratches or just regular abuse, it’s important to have the right protection, but it's just as important to have the right substrate behind it.

Any type of surface is only as good as the surface behind it, Adney says.
