This course provides lectures and wet lab in veterinary dentistry for veterinarians. It also provides 7.5 hours of CE credit. The morning sessions will provide classroom lectures and the afternoon will consist of an interactive wet lab.Lectures will cover:Dental pathology with discussion on diagnosing different pathologies as well as treatment options. You will review normal dental radiographs (and jaw and normal tooth anatomy and foramina on radiographs)as well as evaluating dental radiographs with pathology. Positioning for dental radiographs, proper extraction equipment and techniques in dogs and catshow to release a mucogingival flap, removing alveolar bone for surgical extractions and proper closure will all be addressed.
