Comprehensive Canine Dental Extraction Course
This course is designed for the veterinarian to master the principles of canine dental extractions and associated regional nerve blocks for pain management. The lab will begin with demonstration and practice of common local nerve blocks in canine cadavers. Periodontal flap design, tension release and extraction techniques for single and multiple rooted teeth will be taught in a step-by-step fashion in canine cadavers. Oral surgery instrument selection, use and care is an important component of extraction success. Radiographic anatomy and interpretation accompanies this extraction lab.*This program was reviewed and approved by the AAVSB RACE program for 4.5 hours of continuing education in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE approval.
