The Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC) appointed Christopher Carpenter, DVM, MBA as its new executive director.
Carpenter joins the association following 10 years of marketing experience with firms like Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca. Most recently Carpenter served as group director at Vistakon, a division of Johnson & Johnson, where he was responsible for the Acuvue brand of contact lenses in North America. Carpenter also served as a marketing manager for Pfizer Animal Health as well as a stint in private veterinary practice.
Carpenter received his DVM degree from Auburn University and his MBA from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester.
He succeeds Dr. Michael Paul who resigned the post earlier this year.
