Jennifer Evans (she/her): I felt like I was offending people. I felt like me being gay was offensive to people, and I didn't want to make them uncomfortable. And if the easiest way for me to not make them uncomfortable is for me to hide who my true self was. That's what I did and I was so focused on pleasing everybody else, that I didn't focus on the most important person in my life. And that was me.
