CEO steps down at Banfield

Dr. Scott Campbell will continue as Chairman.

John Payne, former president of Bayer's Animal Health Division in North America, took over as Banfield, The Pet Hospital's Chief Operating Officer and acting CEO on July 1. Payne joined Banfield two-and-a-half years ago and since then has helped develop veterinary recruitment initiatives and industry partnerships for the pet hospital.

A formal search for a new CEO is underway for Dr. Campbell's permanent replacement. Dr. Campbell served as CEO for 22 years and will continue in his role as Chairman of the Board.
