Heidi Lobprise, DVM, DAVDC, veterinary dental specialist at Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic in Flower Mound, Texas, explains that when examining urinary incontinence in pets it’s important to decide the conscious and unconscious urinary issues.
In young animals, incontinence could be an indication of an ectopic ureter. Usually, Dr. Lobrpise says, urinary incontinence is found in spayed females and larger breeds.
