National Report — The CATalyst Council plans to expand its Cat Friendly Practice Makeover in 2012.
Veterinary practices participating in last year's pilot program reported feline revenue increases from 14 percent to 33 percent after only a few months, reports CATalyst Executive Director Jane Brunt, DVM.
The CATalyst Council is a national initiative made up of animal-health and welfare organizations on behalf of cats, the organization says.
This year, the organization is also planning to begin a new pilot program called "Top to Top" that is designed to forge coalitions and strengthen relationships between animal-care and animal-control agencies.
