Good answer. If the owners cannot return right away for the stimulation test and he is otherwise stable at this time, it is acceptable to try treating him with physiologic prednisone daily in the interim. Remember, however, that he will need to be off of prednisone for at least 24 hours before the ACTH stimulation test.
