Possibly, but try again. Skin biopsy can help to rule out certain infections (dermatophytosis, occult demodicosis), neoplasia, and immune-mediated disease, but these differential diagnoses are not high on your list. Skin biopsy cannot differentiate among various allergic diseases or many ectoparasitic diseases. It may be worth pursuing if Wyatt is nonresponsive to the next steps.
