Try again. Continuing the fluconazole makes sense since there still appears to be radiographic evidence of the disease. The addition of the prednisone, however, is not warranted and may actually make him worse. There are situations in which if there is a significant inflammatory component secondary to the infection, a short course of prednisone may be beneficial, but that is not the case with Max.
