Cancer test now launches in the United Kingdom and Ireland

Nu.Q Vet Cancer Test now available for veterinary practices across the pond

VolitionRx Limited (Volition) and Veterinary Pathology Group (VPG) joined forces to launch the Nu.Q Vet Cancer Test to veterinary practices in Ireland and the United Kingdom. With this launch, VPG is the first-to-market diagnostic laboratory in the United Kingdom and Ireland to offer this test.

"Working with VPG, we are thrilled to be rolling out the Nu.Q Vet Cancer Test to veterinary practices across the UK and Ireland, two renowned pet-loving nations. It is a simple, non-invasive blood test that can easily integrate into preventive care plans. Veterinarians can run the test alongside routine blood work and imaging, to help provide earlier cancer detection, improve a dog's quality of life, and give a better chance of effective treatment," said Tom Butera, DVM, chief executive officer, of Volition veterinary diagnostic Development LLP, in an organizational release.1

According to the release, Nu.Q Vet Cancer Test is an affordable and accessible screening tool for canines that have an increased risk of developing cancer, such as certain breeds with high cancer prevalence rates, geriatric dogs, and dogs with familial history.

"Our collaboration with Volition highlights the commitment of both organizations to improving the quality of life for pets and supporting veterinary professionals in their mission to provide the best possible care,” said Fiona Gosling, chief executive officer, VPG.1

"By integrating the revolutionary Nu.Q Vet Cancer Test into our diagnostic portfolio, we are expanding our wellness testing offering and empowering veterinarians with an accessible, cutting-edge tool to detect cancer in its early stages, ultimately leading to better outcomes and improved patient care,” she concluded.
