Things are looking up, according to the latest revenue figures. But will they stay that way?

Gatto McFerson CPAs in Southern California has been tracking the veterinary industry’s performance throughout California during the lagging economy. The firm is tracking how the industry performed in 2010 and comparing those numbers to 2009 revenue. Here’s a look at November 2010 revenue figures from the 150 practices that share information with the firm:

>Small animal general practices in Southern California saw a revenue increase of between 1 percent and 2 percent for the month, as compared to 2009.

>Small animal general practices in Northern California saw a revenue increase of between 2 percent and 3 percent for the month, as compared to 2009.

>Specialty, emergency, and referral practices saw revenue remain flat for the month, as compared to the previous year.
