That’s certainly true, but there are more problems brewing for bosses who don’t terminate lousy employees. You harm your practice by not terminating an employee who fails to fulfill his or her responsibilities. Team members may interpret your inaction to mean that this one employee is special and doesn't need to follow the rules. That's not the right message. You’re also depriving yourself, your employees, and your practice from the productivity, good work ethic, and positive attitude of a great new addition to your team.
