Be wordy, says Facebook. You can type up to 420 characters on your wall and up to 1,000 on someone else's. It's Twitter's tweets that are to 140 characters or less, but you can include links to your Web site, blogs, videos, and more using URL-shortening Web sites like bit.ly and ow.ly. Just copy and paste your URL, and those sites will spit out a much shorter URL you can include in your tweet.
