AVMA Group Health and Life Insurance Trust has dropped Aetna Signature Administrators as its PPO.
Schaumburg, Ill.
-- The American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) Group Health and Life Insurance Trust has dropped Aetna Signature Administrators as its preferred provider organization and signed on with UnitedHealthcare Options PPO Network.
AVMA says the switch was a planned move to avoid premium increases, and the organization expects cost savings for both GHLIT and plan subscribers.
As a result of dropping Aetna as GHLIT’s PPO provider, AVMA also says it has “discontinued an arrangement with Aetna to promote pet health insurance.” Aetna is the underwriter for Pets Best Insurance Services, notes AVMA.
