Arkansas bill calls for annual rabies vaccination
Little Rock, Ark. - The Arkansas Department of Health wants to require annual rabies vaccinations, but the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association isn't biting.

LITTLE ROCK, ARK. — The Arkansas Department of Health wants to change the interval required for rabies vaccinations, but the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association isn't biting.

The proposed bill states, "All dogs and cats shall be vaccinated against rabies annually or as required by the State Board of Health."
The Arkansas VMA will not take a position on the legislation until a more definitive interval is defined.
