This marks the company’s second Austin-area acquisition in the past year

Animal Dermatology Group, Inc (ADG)—a group of US veterinary specialist dermatologists—has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Austin Veterinary Dermatology & Allergy (AVDA)—a specialized veterinary dermatology practice in the Austin and the Central Texas area, with the terms of the transaction not disclosed.

According to a company release,1 ADG operates its practices under the brand "Animal Dermatology Clinic," offering innovative veterinary dermatology and care to patients and peace of mind for their owners. Adding AVDA signifies the second Austin-region veterinary dermatology specialty acquisition by ADG in the last year, extending ADG's services and care to clients in both Central and North Austin. ADG's veterinary dermatology specialty services now extends to 14 states nationwide.

ADVA was initiated in 2002 by Jenise Daigle, DVM, DACVD, and manages patients with chronic allergies, ear infections, and additional dermatological conditions. She and her team will further offer this specialized care at AVDA's current location under the ADG name. Daigle joins ADG's nationwide team of veterinary dermatology specialists, a unified group of veterinary dermatology specialists partaking in the diagnosising and treatment of acute and chronic skin conditions.
