American Heartworm Society updates guidelines, urges veterinarians to "Think 12 in 2012"

The American Heartworm Society has updated its guidelines for diagnosing, managing, and preventing heartworm infection in cats and dogs and has launched a "Think 12" educational initiative to help veterinary practices and pet owners implement the guidelines.
