In honor of entering the profession, Matthew McGlasson, DVM, CVPM, gives new graduates, and veterinary professionals including host Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, tips on what teams can do to make feline patient visits to the clinic less stressful for all.

Matthew McGlasson, DVM, MBA: Basically with cats, a lot of times, less is more you know? So you do not want to push it with cats. I would recommend anyone starting as a [veterinarian], definitely become Fear Free certified. I think the information you gain from becoming Fear Free certified is just so important and you can kind of think about things in a different way so try to incorporate Fear Free techniques with your kitties. Then taking that a step further, you can get this cat-friendly certification through [American Association of Feline Practitioners]. Doing [this certification] was really eye-opening for me as well it kind of brought all these other issues to light.
