3 swim solutions for dogs

August 14, 2018

Outdoor dog gear company Doog dishes three water-friendly dog items your veterinary clients might want.

What veterinarians should know about pet bloggers

You're familiar with top veterinary blogs, but do you read pet parent blogs? They are a window into what pet owners are thinking about, talking about and asking about. Here's more from our veterinary correspondent ...

What products were on the radar of pet bloggers who visited Kansas City for their very own conference in April? A few stood out for our medical director Theresa Entriken, DVM, in attendance. Would these items from DOOG (Dog Owners Outdoor Gear) appeal to your fun- and pet-loving veterinary clients?

Pool up …

You know that twisty-turny thing you do with your car's windshield sun visor? Yeah, combine that with water-tight material and you get this Pop-Up Tub to be used as a handy cool-down pool or bathing tub. It only takes a minute or two to dry by hand, then twist to collapse back to its original easy-to-store shape. Don't panic if the dog in the pic looks too big; this is available in three sizes.

… Toys in …

The toy is for the dog. The kooky design is definitely for owners. Captain Blubber and Lieutenant Flipper are the first characters in DOOG's new line of water fetch toys. The toys stay upright in water and are easy to spot, thanks to attractive fluorescent colors. They're advertised as waterproof and resistant to stress cracks and UV rays to look great fetch after fetch.

… Dry off!

Made from antibacterial, quick-dry material, the Dog/Swim Bath Towel (once it's dry again) fits in a glove compartment or hangs in its airing pouch from a dog owner's belt or backpack. It's machine-washable.
