Video
Downtown Charlotte, NC

In an interview at Fetch Charlotte, Roger Layman, AIA NCARB, managing principal, RL Architecture PLLC, shared the 3 most important aspects of site selection

In an interview at the 2023 Fetch dvm360 Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, faculty member Roger Layman, AIA NCARB, managing principal, RL Architecture PLLC, introduced himself and his business and then explained how important site selection can be since location is one of the most difficult aspects to change in hospital design.

The following is a partial transcript of the video.

Roger Layman, AIA NCARB: As you've heard from real estate agents all your life, it's location, location, location. It's the one thing you can't change about your practice. So, if you are looking for a new location, it needs to be visible, it needs to be accessible—traffic patterns, neighborhood patterns—and hopefully expandable.
