Dr. Anke Langenbach had a dream of expanding her cramped veterinary surgery and rehabilitation practice space for years, according to the hospital's entry. And when she came across the dingy lower level of 124 Park Street in Vienna, Virginia, she imagined a new, better space for her team, for her clients and for her patients.

According to the entry, Dr. Langenbach worked with top local designers, architects and other professionals to lease and redesign the vacant, dark basement into a light and brightly designed space boasting functionality, private and group workspaces, and world-class equipment.

With a bold-but-natural color scheme, Dr. Langenbach has created a space where employees feel empowered to grow their skills and collaborate with others, and where clients and pets feel welcome and safe knowing they're always in good hands.

According to the entry form, physical rehabilitation at the practice went from being performed out of a small consult room to a bright, colorful space full of energy and the latest equipment, including an underwater treadmill, laser and ultrasound units, and other modalities to help pets get back on their feet.

The surgical team could finally expand over multiple operating rooms that featured world-class imaging as well as the leading surgical tools and techniques, along with more fluid treatment areas and consult rooms.

The hospital Dr. Langenbach had always dreamed of had become a bright reality for her, her team and her clients and patients.

This surgical center is wonderful! They were as kind and gentle with our dog as they were with us. They truly understood how important our furry friend was to us, and he seemed just as important to them.
